Welcome to all,

My name is Mohamed Esfih, French citizen of Moroccan decent, i have done my Masters in E-commerce with the University of Franche Comté (France) and i'm right now conducting a PHD with University Technology Malaysia (UTM). In terms of professional carrier i have been involved in E-commerce technologies for more than 6 years.

As a redaction tool, this blog is dedicated to my Research and Development work on Electronic Payment Systems and it is specifically focused on Mobile Commerce and SMS-Banking technologies.

In simple words, i would like to develop and implement a "Secure SMS/MMS" application that could allow any of us to send a "Secure SMS" from a basic GSM phone to an other phone or to an application/server, just like we would send a "Secure SSL email".

The problem is not too much on how to crypt/protect the data as this is a must, but as importantly how to make this application convenient, simple to use, and easy to implement on a mass scale.

If you are interested in my research please stay tuned.

I am available to participate in conferences/events on this matters or to conduct classes/talks in Universities or Seminars, and also to consult/advise Financial or Banking institutions on how to strategically implement this tool to extend the range of services and applications that could be offered through Mobile Banking.

This concept of "Secure SMS", from my point of view and once implementable on a large scale, would provoke a real "REVOLUTION" in Payment & Financial Systems.

Of all the media and communication technologies we have today and including the Internet, the GSM Network has the most extended coverage not only in terms of geographical coverage but more importantly in terms of "Human" coverage.
